Overall, I consider myself to be an extremely organized individual. However, certain things like your closet may need to be reorganized every now and then. My over flowing closet is already pretty organized but one of my new years resolutions is to revisit it once every season to “re-organize”. Follow my organizing tips below to help organize your closet too!

- Know your clothes! Each season remove all of your clothes from your closet and “break-up” with the things that you haven’t worn in the past year, things that don’t fit you any more and anything that is old and falling apart. I then like to donate some of these lightly worn clothes to local charities.
- Create functionality. For the clothes that I have decided to keep for another season or maybe longer, I organize into categories (dresses, tops, pants, etc.) Create a designated section in your closet for each group of clothes. you can even organize each category by color if you want to be super organized!
- Invest in matching hangers. When you open your closet you want your eyes to be drawn to your beautiful clothing, not all of your mismatched hangers! Also, make sure as soon as you come home from the dry cleaners to remove the plastic from your clothes because that can be damaging to the fabric and swap the dry cleaners hanger out with one of yours.
- Be disciplined. As soon as you take an article of clothing off make sure you either hang it back up in the same place or place it in a hidden hamper with other dirty clothes that need to be washed.
